Campsite Cows

Camping in the Gunnison National Forest just outside Crested Butte, CO. Our campsite brought us some interesting company. A bike tour of 300 hundred or so cyclists in the early morning. and a herd of grazing cows in the evening.

My attempt at a quick sketch of a bull passing by.

Make Art

Pencil drawing of Vince Lombardi, one of two commissioned years ago.

My hubby read recently that art gallery & museum visits are down but the flipside is that more people are actually making art. It's good for the soul.

One day I'll take a day off of work and head downstairs to my basement studio to just draw. It's been way too long.

Writing on the wall...

I've been contemplating painting the bathroom but before I tackled that I thought I'd try my hand at writing on the walls with a big ol' Sharpie marker. I'm taking pages from my hubby's travel journals.

My one big obstacle is the bumpy texture. It makes for some illegible handwriting in places. Not sure I'll keep going with it.

I was inspired by this wall done in a boutique.

Influence Someone

Just completed my 100th Art-O-Mat collage. Phew! I think I might be taking a slightly different direction with my next 100.

Experiment

A quickie in my sketchbook. I glued down a piece of junk mail and this is what came of it. After scanning it, I liked how the ribbon from my sketchbook seemed to fit right in with the pattern.

Natural Pigment

No Photoshop used here. These radishes were that vibrant straight out of my garden.

Pencil

A sketch I did for a watercolor painting during a class at the Art Students League. I guess I should post the painting too.
