A handwritten note from my dad.
August 30, 1932 - May 4, 2003.
Illustrated letters are inspired communications. They have the power to transport the reader to another place and time - to recreate the sights, sounds, attitudes, and imagination of their author. - "More Than Words, Illustrated Letters", Liza Kirwin
My dad was a writer. A gardener. An avid reader. A soccer coach. A cook. A "black Irishman", who had dark hair & tanned. He had long legs and long fingers. An artistic lefty. I cherish his handwritten recipes and gardening tips. I only wish I had one of his many sketches that he created at the dinner table on a napkin.
